My usb cable finally arrived yesterday, and I transfered all my pictures from my Sanyo SPC 8100 to my computer using Bitpim with no problem.
However, I have one issue. When I opened the pictures with Picasa, it reads the pictures that were in the camera inbox but not the ones that were in the picture wallet, which were the once used for the picture caller ID. Has anyone encountered this? I can see the pictures with the Windows Picture Viewer (where you just double click the photos) fine. Does this mean that the pictures are locked some how? And when I transfer the pictures to my new Katana, will I not be able to use them for picture caller ID?
I'm with Sprint in America, not Bell where there seems to be issues. Thanks for any insight.

You say you can open them in one program but not another..Maybe you need to juggle the file types around..just a thought..

bitpim has it's own viewer built-in... if you EVER see the pictures on your computer screen, EVER, then the picture was successfully loaded onto your hard drive... where they are, depends on your settings...

also, are all the images JPEGs? my SCP-5500's were, and they all transferred out just fine.... just can't transfer them TO any phones... I have to use Focus

Thanks for your replies :)

Yes, they are all jpgs and I can see them just fine on the computer and Bitpim. Now I'm thinking it might be a problem with Picasa; I hear that it tends to be picky.

I just looked at the Bitpim website. I didn't notice that you can't transfer jpeg images to the phone. This probably means that when Bitpim becomes compatible for my Katana, it won't upload my images anyway...Shees, and I was trying to avoid Focus because I don't have vision :( Or maybe I can convert the jpeg images to png...
