So I've had my Seidio 2400mh battery for about a week now. um...can u say sucky? for example. I have had it unpluged for about 45 min so far today after charging it to 100%. I have recieved 1 4 min phone call, and sent a text. and the battery is at 90%. I use my phone pretty heavily and never ran out of battery with the OEM batt, and only charged it every other night. But twice now i've had to deal with my phone powering off because of low battery, and thats with the seidio extended batt. i know seidio is not one to make a bad product, you think they will exchange it if i email them and tell them whats up?

I'd still say thats pretty good. Usually, the PDA handsets tend to show signs of a lot of use initially for the first 25%, but they make up for it when it appears that the battery is half used. I say give it a chance. One other thing to check as well, is check the mah of the battery against your original/standard battery. You mentioned the one your received from seidio is 2400mah. What is the mah of your standard battery? If it isn't that far off, then that is your issue. The more Mah with a battery the longer it is going to last.
From what I've looked up, the standard Battery Mah for the Treo is:
Standard 1800mah
Extended 2400mah(Seidio)
There may be other extended batteries that will give you more. The extended battery through seidio is a third party battery. Below is a snippet info about Seidio's extended battery.
"Extend your Treo 700p, 700w|wx, 650's talk time with Seidio's 2400mAh Extended Battery, which provides approximately 33% longer talk and standby time than the original battery.
This battery is perfect for busy people on the go, who needs the Treo going throughout the day even with very heavy phone and data use. The size of the Seidio 2400mAh Extended Battery battery is the exact same size of the original battery, but it is slight slightly heavier due to the increased capacity."

I would also suggest it takes longer: 2-3 weeks for the battery to reach it's maximum capacity. Give it some time.
I have the 2400 battery and it works very well. I've had 14 hr days with 71% left and I've only gone below 50% when I use my sling for the remaining hours of the day.

okie dokie. just concerned me that i've never run the OEM battery down to 0 and i've done it twice with the extended, but i guess ur right, it makes sense that i could take a week or to to "warm up". thanx MAL

I'm a heavey user of voice, SMS and PV on my 700p. With everything I do I still have something left at the end of the day with the standard battery but I obviously need to charge it at night.

I've also noticed, using my single digit batter meter in AE Button Plus, that I get an initial "quick drop off" when I unplug the charger--like it goes from 100% to 96% within 2 minutes. If I remember correctly, my 650 did something very similar.
I laugh because after that during the day it slows down around 89% and then it's just super slow trickle, so there may be some general battery reporting issues involved.
