View Full Version : eBaying My Phone From Retention

So, retention is sending me a fusic that should arrive in the middle of next week bonus question: any easy way to get a UPS tracking # from them?). I realize now that I'd prefer the a920.

So, can I buy an a920 on eBay, activate my fusic that retention sends for a few days until the a920 comes, activate it, and then sell that fusic on eBay? (I know, I know, check the esn on the a920 before I buy).

I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work but I want to make sure there's not some hidden restriction that I don't know about.

P.S. - I'm a bit out of practice. Are they gonna want to charge me an activation fee for this phone that retention sends me? If so, what manner of complaining will be most effective in getting that activation fee waived?

Hey I know this question is probably annoyingly basic but I'm trying to figure out if I can go ahead and make this phone purchase, so if you guys have any info I'd be super appreciative. Thanks.

generally it must stay on your account for 30 days to ensure that the rebate given doesnt get charged back

When i signed up for Sprint i got the Katana, then got the Sanyo 7400 off of ebay, did an ESN swap with no charge, sold the Katana with no problems. All within about a week. Didnt have any chargebacks or additional fees for doing it.

Hope that helps
