Hello,
Im kinda new to this whole trying to work the system thingy. So let me just explain my situation. Sprint site is acting up so I will detail our plan as best I can.

Family/share- 500 anytime minutes (45.00)
Unlimited vision w/ unlmtd Text Mess [main line] (10.00-grandfathered)
(includes free m2m, callwaiting)
Free N&W 9pm
Phone is a Treo650

2nd line [scph-5500] (20.00)
picture mail w/ 100 text messages (5.00)
(includes free m2m, callwaiting)
Free N&W 9pm

TEP on both phones..(12.00)

Bill comes out to roughly $100 a month. coontract exp 11/06

Main line active 7yrs, add a line over 3yrs.

Ok my wife has the Treo and sanyo's battery is getting short winded. I have been looking at the Fusic and am eligible for 150 upgrade credit. I tried to call CS today twice to see if I could switch to pwrvision on the 2nd line without raising my monthly bill. ALSO I must not change my wifes portion of the plan. She needs the unlimited texts.

The first rep said I do not have to get PV on the new PV phone?? (I think I would) She also said that my wife did not have unlimited Txt, which she does. I asked her if sprint gives loyalty discounts she said she could offer 5% I told her I would call back to see what other plans were available.

Second rep was not sure if I would have to get PV, I then asked him about Loyalty discounts and he said it showed 5%. I did not tell the first rep that I wanted the 5%?? My battery then died.

What I would like is to be able to keep the primary phone plan the same. And to upgrade to at least basic PV and keep 100 txt, on the second line for about the same monthly bill. I think this would be easy to do with a 15%-20% loyalty discount. 6pm or 7pm N&W would also be nice.

Should I call retentions? I really have no intention of cancelling as that would render my wifes $600 phone a paper weight.

Also I just read that people are getting Treo700s for like $320 from retentions? I would be willing to pay $10 more a month for basic PV & 100txt if I could get that deal.

TIA, sorry if the post is long winded/error ridden..its 2:16am...:snore:

nevermind thaks for all the responses. Maybe if I said I really want to rip sprint a new one and get 5 free phones and use them all for modems I would get a better response.

Um................ its the weekend........... some people arent replying to posts right now!

Now then, retentions can help you keep your old vision plan on new PV capable phones most likely.

You may qualify for an additional rebate / credit to get some phones cheap from them. Just have to call and see what they offer you!

I was under the impression that a regular vision account gives you powervision if you already had it? Is this not true?

OK well its just that the thread had slipped down the list and had 41 views and no replys. I had a crappy day yesterday and it all started when a CSR told me that 8yrs of being a good customer was worth 5%.

Spoke with retentions this afternoon and worked out a plan and purchased a 700p. Will also be buying a Fusic in store tomorrow. The rep said that the new plan would start on 9/20 when our next billing period starts, just kinda worried because he had told me the primary line would retain free unlimited text messages, nut right now it show $8 for the texts on the 1st line. We were actually on a free&clear plan, now we are switching to a fair&flexable plan. Hopefully all works out well.

I think they do an $8 charge and it will show up on the bill with an $8 credit. The credit doesn't show on line though.

How much did you get the 700p for?

If they told you that the texts will be free, then it will show up as a credit on your bill after you get charged for it. (just like the poster above said)
