What are the chances of me getting a Treo 650 from retentions for about $50 - $75?
I have a great plan, so I don't need any extra perks. I just need a new phone. I should mention thought that I just reupped my contract about 3-4 months ago and in that reup they gave me a really good deal on a 6700 (which I obviously do not have anymore).
How should I approach it, just ask them?

Even our 99 cents store is deceiving the public. A lot of stuff in the 99 cents store here is more like $1.49 or $1.99. Very rare is stuff in the 99 cents store 99 cents now.
They ought to change the name to the "99 cents ... you wish!" store!

It was traded for a 900 and 920.

Then the 900 was traded for a 940. Then I ran into money problems and had to sell the 940. Now I am using a crappy 8300. But I really need a phone with Bluetooth. I loved my old 650 when I had it. I should have never gotten rid of that phone.

I don't know if they will give you a phone that cheap "just because". Usually you need to qualify for a rebate.... maybe they will do it if you extend your contract.

I got one for free from retentions... but that only because of a month worth of issues I had with 3 other phones. Maybe if your luck and get the right person and have a convinceing story.

I actually do have a legitimate reason for asking for a Treo. I have a 3rd line on my account that has no phone activated on it at all. I am considering either cancelling the line or adding a Treo to the line as a third phone. However, the 650 is just too expensive. If I can get a discounted one, I will probably keep the line. Else, I will probably cough up the 200 and cancel the line.
As it stands, it would cost my about $400 in charges over the next 20 months to keep the third line. I think they will probably work with me to keep that line on my account.
