View Full Version : Modding My Dock...or at least thinking about it.

So I've downloaded GSPlayer and love it so much. Great stuff. I was thinking last night as I was in bed trying to fall asleep that I should turn it on, but did I really want to listen to some good ambient electronic music through the tiny-weenie speaker on the back? I think not. So I began to wonder, "How hard would it be to modify my cradle and install a 2.5mm plug and a 3.5mm jack on the side which I could use to connect to my stereo?"

Anyone ever try this? I'm about to open up the dock and take a look at it's guts, but I thought I'd drop a thread and see if anyone else has any experience with this kind of thing. Or better yet, anyone know of an aftermarket cradle that already has it?

**EDIT**

So, I should have just looked online instead.

That's exactly what I'd like to do. Now I'm wondering if it is worth the $40, or should I just try my mod as planned. Hmmm....

Are there any options (Ebay maybe) that aren't half a thousand dollars? I picked up a similar cradle for the 650 a while ago that was like 15 bucks!
