So I've read the thread on new rules and thoughts, but I'm wondering what the current retention plans are.
I've got 2 lines on the old share 1000 minutes for $70 total. In a call to SPCS I was told I could up to $80 for 1200 mins or $90 for 1400 mins, are these the best retention plans right now?
Also, my other line is on an old retention plan $40 for 750 AT with all the bells and whistles. Is this plan no longer avaliable? I could get off the the share a phone plan and put the other 2 lines on the $40 plan and come out way ahead.
Just curious what plans people have been getting.
Thanks.

My brother was on the 750AT plan but did not have the bells and whistles...he paid $15 for vision, which included pics/video and unlimited shortmail (yes, he's had the 8100 for years)...I'm assuming you had this stuff free? I just upgraded him to the 1000min retention plan for the same $40, and he is paying $20 for the EVDO Plus plan, but I got them to throw in 500 texts free, and mobile-to-mobile, which he did not have before, and which is usually not available free on single line retention plans...I gave him my old 9000 and he is pretty psyched, especially coming from an 8100 that was falling apart...
btw, I got hooked up with a retention EVDO offer myself back in May to upgrade from the best old free vision plan with all the bells and whistles...it's in my sig...I tried to work something out for my bro, but they could not do anything...they said many of the codes that were available earlier in the summer disappeared Aug 1st...maybe some reps here can confirm that...in any case, for $5 more than he was paying before, my bro got 250 more AT minutes, much faster internet, some TV channels, mobile-to-mobile, and 500 free texts...needless to say he's pretty happy with the new plan...

so you can confirm they have a $40 plan for 1000 AT minutes? When did you get this? I would do that for these 2 lines.
Thanks

The $40 1000 AT plan is for one line only and does not permit a second line. So you could do that for the single line by just asking if it's available. I should think you'd be able to keep your perks in place as well.
For the remaining two lines if you qualify, you can share 1000 AT minutes for $50. I originally had the $50 1000 AT minutes plan for two lines and then switched to a 1200 AT minute plan for $60, also for two lines. On these plans they are basically adding a second line for $10 though the CS rep worded it like the base plan was $50 or $60 with a free AAP.
The AAP is the variable here. The first CS rep. is proposing you pay $20 for the AAP. I should think with a little perseverence and a polite tone you might get them down to $10 for the AAP, if you qualify.

operasam i would do the $40 w/ 1000AT plan one each line. I was told to get 2 lines sharing 1200 AT it would be $80 so i'm thinking i'll break the 2 up.

I'm confused, as your sig says you have free EVDO, pics, video and SMS on all lines...or am I reading that wrong? ...also says you have 6AAPs...lastly, how did you get a straight 6000min plan? I have 2000AT and unlimited nights, so theoretically I could use more minutes than 6000 if I spoke a lot at night, but I think we'd all agree that 6000AT would be better, as most of us talk more during the day...

After numerous calls to Sprint where I got nowhere I finally got the following after my second email to ecare
I had had 1000 minutes for $50 and $20 for the second line. They agreed to give me the second line free and also added a 10% loyalty discount .
Of course I havent seen my bill yet and until I see it i wont know for sure what I got- but if I got what they promised my bill will go down from $70 per month to $45 per month

I was talking about was sA900maung's plan with the 60$/6000 minutes, My plan is the original 175$/6000 minutes, but i get a 27% NVP and 25% Loyalty which make my actual cost like 100$ even (99$ and some change to be exact).....I found the way to get more from rentension is to have more to work with. Before i up'd my plan from 3000 F/F to 6000 F/C I was only able to get 3 free AAP's, 2.50 UL SMS for my subs and a 15% loyalty. After the upgrade to 6000, I was able to neigoiate FREE AAP's Free SMS on all lines, and Loyalty was just recently moved from 15% to a stacked 20+5 %, I love it...I have as close to a unlimited plan as you can get for a Shared Plan all for under 120$ a month. Some subs pay more then that for a single line accounts...Now if I can stop buy phones, accessories and family would quit with the Vision Purchases maybe my bill could actually reflect my savings!!!! :bang:

I just got a $50 1000AT F&C Plan for renewing my contract. Unfortunately, I could not get them to add either a loyalty discount or 500 texts. I barely (after 4 phone calls) got them to do the AAP for free (or $10 from my $40) as they wanted to do it for 70! That along with 7pm N&W and PCS2PCS completed it. I figure there will be another promotion for me to get some other perks, and I can still email ecare every once in a while to see if they bite.
Anyway, call up retentions and ask them for this plan. Make sure they understand you want the $50 F&C shared plan WITH the aap, not the $10-20 add-on.

Well Rentension cant do anything about the NVP and 20% is the highest loyalty offer right now...Try getting all AAP's free or all Sub SMS for 2.50 if your plan is already FIRE then dont get to greedy. Just wait for the opportuinty to present itself.

Howzit dude! The company that I do consulting and work for has a 27% nvp discount with Sprint. Just changing over to them now from a 20% discount. MRC is monthly recurring credit (well, depends on which end you look at it ... charge if you look at it from a billing end) of 5% on some and 10% on others. I got it from this loyalty department. Those bozos got me up early on a Saturday and offered that discount to me. They didn't know it was that early in the morning! They were calling from Texas and it was lunch time for them.

I've been with Sprint since 7/26/06 -
Because of this website I thought I would "try" to see if they would give me free PCS to PCS. I didn't think that they would though. I currently have just the very basic plan of 200 minutes, free 7PM to 7AM + weekends, both for $29.99/mo.
I emailed ecare and here's their reply -

Thank you for contacting Sprint together with Nextel. I will be happy to assist you regarding free PCS to PCS.
We have recently launched new plans which include free PCS to PCS. Your account has old plan. This is the reason CPS to CPS is not included in it.

Correct. You know what you also should try to get is FIMF (First Incoming Minute Free). With your 200 minute plan, that would help you alot for those quickie calls you make and recieve (if that's how it goes, if not, than that you only recieve)

Yes you're correct, it's A/T minutes, But for being in Mortgage and Real Estate owning my own business, it's a must! That line is used for work, and the other line is my personal day to day line.

One idea is to only accept clients that only carry Sprint or Nextel phones. This way, it will keep the any time minute usage down.

PCS/PCS (or now it is called mobile to mobile) really rocks! Awesome dude. Since you have a pretty much $30/mo plan, and I have a $30/mo plan, here's what I got on my $30/mo plan:
300 any time base minutes
120 any time bonus any time minutes
180 any time bonus any time minutes
150 any time bonus any time minutes
mobile/mobile
first incoming minute free
6pm night/weekend minutes
50 minutes of roaming
27% NVP discount
5% MRC discount
maybe you can ask for some of the perks above. I am not trading in this $30/mo plan since it works for me!

Oh no way dude, this would be impossible and not to mention cut down on my clients by 3/4ths.. I would take a big cut by doing this. Plus, everything is a tax write off anyways at the end of the year. I get all this money back. So it doesnt bother me at all

Ah! Just suggesting to be cheap. Yup, the tax write off is always good. What do most of your clients use? Once you find that out, get a phone with mobile to mobile and it will help them out too ... nobody wants to use their any time minutes up!

Na, there's really no way around it w/o spending more money than I already am. It's a business and the phones need to be used. I'm constatly on the phone taking calls, listening to voice mail, etc and not once have I ever gone over. I'm always averaging about below my limit. But i'd rather have that 1k left over than to get a plan that fits exactly what I use. Plus, there's days where it's more than 5k, and less than 5k but has never really gotten close to 6000 minutes.
