hey check this im new to sprint users

i just changed my phone to a a900 and i would like to know if i could get a treo 700 or a 6700 by retentions and it be put on my bill the a 900 sucks but im hangin in there

and also wat is the best sprint phone out there for a person who likes loud ringers and likes style besides the blade

ive been pondering on wasting money on a pda (treo 700) or a pc phone (6700) and i want to know what is the best phone thats worth putting money towards or even getting one for cheap through retentions

another question how do i get to retentions when i call *2 from my phone

im sorry these might be newbie questions but i know that there are people out there that are willing to teach cuz im willing to learn :headbang2

Well I cant answer all your questions, but to the ones i know.... when you call *2 you say cancel and its supposed to take you to retentions. The last time I spoke to retentions, I was transferred by a cs rep. Any multimedia phone will provide loud ringers, given that the actual ringer itself is loud. I have the 8300 and my ringers are nice and loud :) I dont know much about pda phones, so I cant be of any help there... If you are closer to the end of your contract, you'll have more leverage on getting a good deal on one of those phones. Im not too sure if you can have a phone charged to your account.. I was told it had to be put on a credit card..but im sure someone else knows more than i do... well i hope i helped you out a little :)

--I think you have to pay for phones up front (whatever the discounted price that you get) via a credit card if you are going to order a phone through sprint retentions. I dont think they bill anything to your account other than your plan.

--I had an A800 and that ringer was very very loud. Also, most of the Sanyos I have owned have had loud ringers; although I havent owned any of the new ones out. The PPC 6700 ringer isnt very loud but people have found ways to make it louder by removing the speaker cover. (read that somewhere in this forum)

--I own a 6700, personally dont prefer the style of the Treo...so get whatever you want. Research a little on both phones and check which features suit you best.

--To get retentions, just call *2 and say cancel. It should transfer you.

You can only bill phones to your account if you have a certain credit rating. I think it has to be the highest credit rating that Sprint has, too.
