Do I just have to ask and if my credit is good they give it to me? I just want to get a deal on ebay on the 6700 for free but need this.

if you are approved for 3+ lines with no deposit or account spending limit then you are considered a "Prime" aka "Preferred" customer

I just got my credit limit taken off. This was after having service for hmmm 2 years and paying ontime every month. Shot off an email to ecare and got some perks now too.

no he's actually refering to a credit class with a minimum of a $600 credit limit. u have to pay your bill on time, EVERYTIME for at least about 2 years. u should have 3 lines on your account or u should have 2 but u should call retentions and tell them that u are looking to add up 2 6 lines on your account and that u would like a credit class suitable. but i dont know if u would get it. u have to have PERFECT payment history.
o yea by the way i just got my credit class increased yesterday by doing this....

he's talking about how the ebay dealer will sell him a phone only if he is a "Prime" customer. which would fall under the criteria i listed before. the dealer gets paid more for activating a phone of a prime customer and that is why their prices are low.

I have been w/ them for 8 years, never been late on a payment. I was just asked if I wanted to add 6 lines of service!! I gather I do not have a spending limit, since I have near, if not perfect credit w/ Sprint.

According to several retention reps I've spoken to, I am eligible for up to 10 lines. I've paid on time every time for 3 years (although the bill was disputed many times).

I don't know any laid out steps to get preferred credit. I am, however, confused about what determines who gets preferred credit.
I got one of those nice phones through ebay and was treated as a "prime" customer with preferred credit and no spending limit.
I was surprised to get that status since I'm still new to credit (< year), rather young and still a student.
I've only been a customer for a little more than a month and would like to add three more lines. What bothers me is that I've only been approved for 3 lines, although I have no spending limit and can credit equipment to my account. It's really bothered me that I can't add that fourth line because for one, it's a very much needed line to add; and, two, my previous carrier for some totally unrelated reason (not credit issue) would not allow me to add a fourth line! For the last two years I've had that last line as prepaid or the cheapest contract on Tmobile :irked:
There's this option I learned about to upgrade your credit class, and from what I've heard it's done through a third-party and will go through even if you have remotely decent credit history.
I just hope that me only a newbie Sprint-er will not influence that final decision.
