I had my wife eBay my old MM7400. The buyer says he never got it and wants his money back. However, we have a suspicion that he did get it (UPS reports successful shipment to the correct address) and is trying to scam us.
Is it possible to call Sprint and ask if my former phone has been activated under the seller's name? This would confirm if they actually got the phone or not.
Help!

you can call and ask about the ESN, if you have it written down somewhere, just say you are buying it online and want to do a doubt check. they will tell you if it's attached to an account or not. they cannot name names though.

any chance that the esn would have been on my old statements?? (Not at home to check until later tonight). The phone was shipped to the buyer in the original box so I don't have that to reference the barcode information.

i seriously doubt it. you may be lucky and sprint has it on file, but i doubt that also...if you have proof it was delivered by the postal service, then you have no worries. i had someone try that with me, all ebay asked from me was proof it was delivered. if they keep on trying, call sprint, tell them you lost an old phone that was on your account, and see if they can retrieve the ESN and blacklist it till you "find it"

they should have it on file
I've had them just switch back to a previous ESN when a customer came in wanting a new phone, then returned it and didn't have the old phone with them SPrint was able to look back and give Me the programming instructions
and of course if you report it stolen then nobody would be able to use it so at least if you have to give the money back, they couldn't have any use from the phone if they have it :)
