EDIT: And for some reason I missed the first post of the retention thread.. don't ask me why, I am at a loss:(

Hey all, I just wanted to ask for some recommendations on a new plan if I call up Sprint Retention.

I would like to call up retention and upgrade my phones and my plan. If I can get a noticeable drop in cost, and get some noticeable discounts for new phones all the way around. It sounds like that is a realistic goal from my lurking here (forever it seems, though I only recently signed up for an account).

I would like to change my Treo to my free line and replace it with a 6700 or 7130e. I would like to replace all other phones with small camera phones preferable with better than VGA cameras and fairly good batteries (around the size of the Sanyo 9100 or smaller with distinctive ringers for people preferred).

I was hoping for some input on what you all would recommend I ask for? Any recommendations or tricks that you think would specifically apply to my situation?

Thankseveryone!

Rob.

---------------
1) How long have you been w/ SPCS?

Six years or so.

2) How many lines do you have?

Four currently.

3) Do you have a spending limit?

No, qualified for 10 phones.

4) If you have a spending limit, what is it?

N/A

5) When does your contract expire?

All but my free line are well past.

6) How well have you made your payments?

Ok.

7) When are your phones eligible for replacement?

Now.

8) Have you called and gotten a lot of credits?

Er, never have.

9) What is your current plan?

See below.

10) What kind of phones do you want?

Either 6700 PDA or 7130e BB for one line, and for two others a camera phone with distinctive ringing.

11) What kind of plan are you looking to get?

One that is a little less money and has a few less minutes. Free incoming calls and early n/w looked interesting. I would like to reduce my expenses by at least $50/mo.

I'm sure they will do something for you. But be aware, from what we hear, they are seriously capped on what they can now do.

Good luck

You could get a great deal. The "cap" Sprint put in place seems to go up depending on how much your plan is, and how long you've been with Sprint.

The best option may be to call some other carriers and get an offer. Then call Spritn and see if they can meet or beat the other offers.
