So I had a Treo and I recently bought a Blackberry 7250. I added the power vision and soon realized the phone is VERY crippled without the black berry data plan. So I call up Sprint to add it so I can activate the phone and they won't let me add it without renewing my contract since im not under one.

So I want to pay them $50 a month more and they wont let me. Anyone have an idea on how to add this without renewing?

I am seriously contemplating switching cause Sprint is being very difficult to me.

On a side note I called sprint CS and had a lady tell me since I am out of contract I need to pay $10 more a month because thats what the contract does. hahaha gave me a good chuckle...

I work for Sprint, and you do NOT have to renew your agreement to add a Blackberry data plan. Blackberry phones are generally not to be used with EVDO (or other carriers native online packages) but rather Blackberry packages. Thank Blackberry for that.
Also, when your agreement expires you are not charged an additional $10 a month to continue with your plan. Way, way back in the day there was an option to not have a contract at all, and then you had to pay 10 dollars more per month. Currently, there is month-to-month plan you can choose that is 10 dollars more than the equivelant with a 2-year agreement.
My advice: go into a store. They'll be able to do it right.
