I just resigned for another 2 years on 5/26/06. I have an old, old Free & Clear plan with 500 minutes. My sprint coverage is pretty good in the city but every so often I venture somewhat further away and would like to get digital roaming. I don't think I have a roaming plan right now so how much would roaming cost me?
Any idea what my chances are at getting free or discounted roaming? I don't really have much leverage since they've already got me for another 2 years. Does it make sense to change plans, I think from what I read the F&F America plans include roaming. I could drop from 500 ATM to 450 ATM and pay the same for the plan.
Also any idea if digital roaming will work way up in Maine? Apparently coverage ends around Portland..

If you just renewed, you have 30 days to cancel the agreement and 90 days to switch plans.
Most likely they will not offer you free roaming on F&C plans since they are trying to move everyone to current F&F plans.
You actually have a lot of leverage....

Why are they moving people? Are the F&C plans inherently better somehow compared to the F&F plans?

I got free roaming back in June on a F&C plan. My bill shows "America Roaming" for $5, and an offsetting credit for $5.
On my previous plan, I had 50 free roaming minutes per month, but I told her I wouldn't sign up for a new plan without free unlimited roaming.

I just left my F&F plan to a F&C plan with no problem on the 21st, but I know they wont let me have free roaming since i claim to have too many perks.

I got the same answer too!!! Too many perks, so the free roaming goes out the window!
