You pretty much have two options: your own streaming server or ORB.

How to do your own: http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67171
ORB: http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72411
ORB and the A900: http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86821

There are also some streaming sites you can check out:

ZooVision: http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81186
Y.A.S.S. (still down? if so, it's temporary): http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=103609

Hmm I was interested in doing this but it all sounds rather complicated/expensive.

Depends on how you do it. If you use ORB, they do all the work for you, so to speak, so it's really easy. More complicated if you choose to do it by yourself, but even then it's not that hard.

And it's not expensive, seeing as it's free :)

you can get your own streaming server for free? I doubt it!

If you want your own server, no. But the services are free and don't require servers. Both ORB and DSS can run from your desktop computer.

And actually, my servers are all free because 1/3 of my company is IT. But I chose to pay for a virtual server to put streams on because of the trouble I can get in. No need to bring my company down with me.

Ah yeah, what i wanted was a little different, I wanted to be able to have stuff on my site that people could download to their phones, like ringtones. I means how do those companies text you ringtones and stuff?

Here's my suggestion, to do this on the cheap, because I did this for a little while before moving everything to my own servers...

Make an account at www.funformobile.com and use that to store your ringtones. Then your WAP page (what people visit from their phones to download ringtones directly to their devices) and your GCD files can be stored on your own server. This way all you're storing on your own dime are very, very small text files. The larger files are stored on funformobile. Works like a charm.

Awesome - I will try that out, thanks for taking the time to help me out.

If you want more directions on writing WAP and GCD files, just let me know. It's about time I make an FAQ on it anyway :)
