try going into the 3g data programming (##3282#) and going into the advanced menu and seeing if there's an option for WDR.... you'll sneed your MSL and I'm not sure if you'll have that option, but maybe you will. If you do, enable it and voila... there ya go

I have that option on my MM-9000. What exactly does WDR stand for?

...also, does this mean that Telenav or Garmin GPS should work while roaming too?

Is there a list somewhere that shows which partners allow data roaming at no extra charge ? I disabled my WDR but when attempting to use data while roaming it asked if I wanted to accept the data roaming rate, which obviously I don't want to do.

do they charge for data roaming?

you dont not get charged for data roaming unless you dont have a nationwide roaming (included in your plan..) and you dont have a vision pack.

as long as you've got a vision plan data roaming is free....

i live in an affiliate market and do not have "nationwide roaming" included, yet I've data roamed many times and it has never affected my bill.

I'm notg sure what WDR stands for. I would guess "Wireless Data Roaming", but I can confirm that both Telenav and Garmin work while using data roaming. It's not the fastest (at least on whatever network I'm roaming on), but it does work.

but then again, vision tech support told me that data roaming doesnt exist after "researching" it for 10 minutes..

this is after i already got it to work on my 7500..
i just wanted my MSL code for my brothers 7500 to enable it, and of corse they have to ask what for....so on and so forth.

I cant for the life of me get data roaming to work on my ppc6700, or atleast not here in upper michigan. whenever it tries to connect to the alltel towers for data it gives me a 1013 error. I also have the lastest prl and firmware. I do not see a wdr option in the 3g programing menu either. I called Sprint spoke to a lady in tech, and she tried telling me sprint doesnt allow data roaming. needless to say i thanked her, and i was in the process of hitting end, and thought the tech lday already hung up, said to my wife as she was sitting next to me "man stupid *****, shes full of ****" then I hear the tech lady say Mr so and so you can hang up now. (was using headphones) haha, hope she didnt put any negitive notes on the account. Good thing im only back home for another week or so. To sum up the story, still no data roaming, any ideas? Id really like to be able to get it working for the last week or so im here.

I had data roaming on my Sanyo 8200 in ND and rural MN. I'll let you all know if it works in SD and WY later on this month.

data roaming is not a feature of that phone. sprint wont guarantee data service if its roaming
