Hello All
I am new to this so please excuse me if I don't yet understnad all the terminology.
I was wondering if it is worth it for me to switch over to Sero and what are the benefits of me doing so.
Currently i have 2 phones, All on individual packages with all the same following plan-- $40 -- 1000 minutes starting at 7pm
unlimited text messaging - Free
power vision - Free
Sprint to Sprint - Free
21% Corporate discount meaning I pay around $75 total including taxes every month..
I am trying for nights starting at 6pm through ecare although I have written 3 times this week and noone has replied.
I will also try to get some sort of loyalty discount soon because I am adding another line to the account..
I do not want a family shared plan...
So, is it worth getting Sero and what are the benefits??
Thankn you for your time

With your current plan there would be no reason to switch to sero.
Sero doesn't include texting and has 9 pm nights.
Some people, myself included, have earlier nights and free texting that was carried over from our orginal plans.
Your plan also looks to be a retention plan and may not be available for a new line. It would probably be easier to get the 3rd line on a sero plan and keep the other 2 how they are.

Sero plans are only for new lines. You can't convert an existing account to sero.

you could do it but you have a pretty nice plan already, I dont think its worth the hassel. Keep trying with ecare, that department has been down for a while

Ok, here's an update....Finally recieved a response back from ecare stating that since I have a retention plan, and since I get 21% corporate discount, they are unable to give me any other discount because they are not stackable. The guy said he would if he could, but that the system will not allow for 2 discounts to be on there...
Which I guess is fine by me....I think that I am getting a fantastic plan for the money. My only question is that if I am getting free power vision, does that include free picture mail??? and also, if I am getting unlimited text messaging for free, does that include SMS texting(which honestly I don't know what that means, lol)?

SMS is texting.
For your vision plan, you have to know which one they are giving you free. More than likely it's the picture mail vision pack for 15 dollars.

it is not supposed to be switched like that. They may be nice but they are not supposed to.

well i have the same question as the person who started this:
i have a 2000 min family plan with 8 phones, free roaming and long distance, nights at 7, free normal vision on the master plan, and 2 phones on normal vision (mainly for the 100 texts) should i get SERO? how would it help?

that was my exact question because I really don't know what SERO is....I know what you can get with Sero but still noone has told me what it is or how it is beneficial... How much do you pay for 2000 min family plan?? I was going to go for that same plan, but instead, it's cheaper for me to just have 1000 minutes per phone for $40 with a 21% corporate discount....I've been with Sprint for a long time, so my thinking is that I have a retention better than any SERO plan out there...But of course I could totally be wrong....Any thoughts anyone???

I have Sero:
1. 500 anytime long distance minutes
2. Power vision with picture/video mail and unlimited browsing
3. 9PM nights however I called and received 7PM free for two years
4. Unlimited mobile to mobile.
5. Unlimited Sprint to home however I called and received this free only because I have no monthly fee land line long distance already (first 50 minutes free per month). This is not included with Sero however it is part of the deal I have with Sprint. I don't have any discounts, just lots of one time credits given at the time of signing a new contract. I've had Sprint PCS for a long time.
6. Free roaming included.
7. Unlimited off peak minutes.
The cost is about $32. per month which includes tax. I may have forgotten some of the features, however this pretty well covers Sero. The mobile to mobile is my favorite feature, BY FAR!! :)
My advice keep what you have, especially if you need alot of minutes. Sero can sometimes be a hassle to get, however I got it in early June VERY easily by calling Employee accounts which was the official dept for it, other than the web site (Sprint).

thank you wayne for your explanation...I now believe that I have a great plan that I am extremely happy wth, but not after countless calls and haggling....I just wish that it wouldn't have been so pain staking and time consuming....

You are welcome. Dealing with Sprint is not easy nor is it quick IMO and my experience. You must fight to get a really good deal from them and you did. :)
