thanks for your time...anyway just got the a940 and was wondering if you could help me..connecting the usb cord to the phone, can you transfer mp3s to use as ringtones? i used the transflash to store an mp3 but i cant get it to use those as ringtones either..is there a way? thanks ahead of time as well

Well, I HIGHLY doubt it.
Sprint has made it really hard for us customers to just transfer ringtones right to the phone. They want use to actually buy the ringtones.
But there is a way to do it, use an Uploader, like the Rumkin or Focus uploaders.

Correct, you cannot. Not a single phone on Sprint allows this. You will have to use an uploader, which requires (at minimum) a Vision plan:
Your other option is to create a blank video ringtone of audio only, in 3G2 format, and place that in your camera phone pics folder on your memory card.

No, no, you're fine. I didn't specify in my original post that I meant just regular ol' phones, not the fancy PDA ones. So you totally got me :p
