View Full Version : How early is loyalty possible?

I'm going to start my attempt at signing up for sprint, and before I switch it over to sero, I want to get all the perks I can. As a new customer how viable is my chance of getting discounts via loyalty and/or the flyer? I know during the first month, new customers can get away with a lot, and I want to push it. Sorry if this has been addressed multiple times already.

Since Sprint has started cracking down on perks, I think it's going to be tough. If it were me though, I'd still try......Let us know what happens. :)

I'm trying to imagine how I'd go about doing that... "I've never had a cell phone, but 2 year contract sounds loyal to me." :headbang2

You could call the flyer and ask for the $5 off which would probably be better then 10% for you. I got the $5 off on both my lines after sero and my acounts were only 2 weeks old.

I seem to remember some other folks in here without a history with Sprint being able to get discounts after a fairly short time, maybe a few months. You did well with two weeks. Congrats!

I've come to understand that you can get a lot from the plans in the first month, since you are allowed to cancel without the ETF.

Also, will they raise a fuss when I try to switch to sero because of all the perks I'll hopefully have? or do they just transfer over without incident? I'll probably have to ask them when I do it, and a few days later to confirm.

I would skip the loyalty discount personally. You aren't being loyal with a 2 year agreement, you are bound by contract and being obligated. "loyal" customers are the ones who stay with Sprint after their contract has expired, renews when it expires, extends their contract for additional features, or the like.

I have no problem with people "pushing it". I have problems with people who push it too far to the point of being greedy simply because "they want" something for nothing.

This isn't directed toward you. This is a general dislike I've come to realize from other members who have gone completely over the top.

Getting free perks for being with Sprint for 5 years is one thing. Milking Sprint because you want something for nothing is another matter altogether.

And people can't understand why the rates have changed....

I understand why you say these things, so I won't take offense. I'm very bad with tech support/customer service, and see it more as an experiment to test myself. I'll most likely eliminate loyalty, and just milk the flyer, corp disc, and a few perks. As a college student, I don't have a lot of money to fork over for a new phone and a plan. But I do understand what you are saying, and maybe I will strike out and get stuck with just corp.

I'm getting a 20% discount, plus $8 off of txt messaging, and $10 off of nights and weekends at 6pm.
My contract started in March of THIS year.

thats only beause you do not ask for a higher one. I have been with sprint for over 12 years. They gave me nothing. I bought 2 A900's full retail before reading this thread. then i called a couple of times and got a 10% discount which i later upgraded to 20% within a month and a half.

You had to call twice to get it moved up to the 20%

Are 2 calls really that much effort? Some people talk about calling over 10 times until they find the right rep.

Over 12 years? I didn't realize that Sprint's been around that long! I guess they just didn't get to Texas till '97ish...

Yep, I already said I'm over it a few days ago, I was just inquiring before I got too greedy.

Thanks for the enthusiasm :p
I still haven't signed up, have yet to do it, kinda busy with school and work. Hopefully I can get a free treo or some other phone I won't afford any time soon.
