Ok..All of you who have free N&W at 6pm, Free Text, Etc Etc Etc...
Is Sprint adding to your contract when they add these features for free..??..

The reason I ask is becuase...I emailed eCare and got N&W at 6pm for free, and the lady PLAINLY said in the email that it WOULD NOT affect my contract..I also then had emailed them a few days ago asking a question in regards to my account and the guy offered me 10% off every month and he said it would not affect my contract..And well I found out Thurs. that it did..It added a whole year to it..And I contacted them and they will do NOTHING about it..Im totally PO'ed over the whole deal.. :scare:

I talk to 2 people in customer care that said it would be taken care of, and then some RUDE DUDE in ecare dept that said it would be taken care of at the first of the call, and after an hour of arguing with him he would not fix it..I was as nice as I could be..I offered to email, or fax them all of my emails I had where this lady, and the man also had plainly said it would not be affected..

So Im just curios to know when you all have had these things added did it affect your plan..??..

Well, usually the free perks require a contract renewal, but sometimes they don't. By renewal, I mean that the 2 year contract starts from the day you get the perk. It doesn't add to your current contract. It just takes the place of your current one.

Right. Depending on how long you've been with Sprint depends on how flexible they are with that.

If you have the emails I would continue calling until you get the result you want. good luck

Freebies do require a new contract, but most reps don't know thier left from thier right. They also don't tell people that the freebies expire when the contract does. This is all fact, but what do I know LOL.

It's not like the old days when the freebies stay on the account forever. Sprint is getting more and more tight. I would sign for another 3-years, if they remove the expiration date on the freebies!

If you have emails from eCare, you need to escilate the issue to executive services. Exec services can see all emails sent to your account from sprint eCare reps and they would be the ones to remove the "new" contract date OR to place notes indicating that if you choose to leave after your old contract would have expired that no ETF can be charged.

Remember under most states laws, a "meeting of the minds" is required for a contract. Obviously you didnt have a "meeting of the minds" with sprint on this renewal.

Mis info. Call them or email them again and copy and paste the email. You'll get results. They won't add a contract if they said they wouldn't initially

why should he do that? they said they were not going to extend his contract. thats an easily fixable mistake. If they didnt mind the contract extension, they wouldn't have posted this thread

Exactly..And Im not going to give in another 2 years for thier stupid mistake..lol..that would be easy money on thier part..I mean I know loosing one customer (me) is not going to affect thier money making career..lol..but its the whole point called CUSTOMER SATISFACTION..its also the line you see that they use thats a big lie "Where our customers come first!"...so its just the general point of it..

And not to mention that one person can turn into many customers by word of mouth. That spreads like wildfire.

Because ALL Night and weekend options require 2 yr commitment even if you pay for it. Sprints in the business to make money and your getting it for free you shouldnt complain.

No, he has the right to complain. He has written proof that Sprint screwed up. He has written proof that Sprint lied to him. He has all the right in the world to complain. If he had been told in the first place that the contract would have to be renewed, then he would have no right to complain, but he was told that the contract would not be affected, so clearly, he is in the right here.

Freak4Dell..Thanks..Thank all of you for standing up for what is right...I would NEVER complained if the lady had not told me from the get go that it WOULD NOT affect my contract..I did contact them and get my contract set back to how it should have been, but a friend that works at a local sprint store told me I should call back and stay on thier behinds to make them give me what they said they would for free and not let them convince me they cant.. I mean come on Im paying 100 a month for nothing compared to what I see some folks on here getting...

williams1132

Well I spoke with them again today and they ended up giving me what they said they would for free with no contract changes..So if they are loosing 10 bucks a month its thier own fault..They need to reinform thier reps not to be sending emails to people saying they can do this for no change in the contract..

obviously sprint needs to make money but the point of this thread is not whether or not he should have to pay, it is about sprint offering something it shouldnt. They told him not contract extension and should be forced to stick to their promises

Asking..??..I told them to take it off and forget it..lol..It was offered to me through ecare so I took it..Who wouldnt..
And I spoke with them today and they gave it to me, and put something called red flag something..(cant remember but have it wrote down) on my account to where if the extra year shows up its not valid..But I still get it for free...So yeah..Maybe Im greedy, but who wouldnt be when it was offered to you..Right..So yeah..Either way..I got it.. :headbang2

No, Tai, you're wrong. He never specifically asked for the option free without a contract renewal. The Sprint rep offered him the feature without a contract renewal. From his posts, we can clearly see that he would've been perfectly happy if they had said there would be a contract renewal in the first place. He could've then chosen to keep the option or chose to opt out of it. However, he was misinformed, and now, due to written proof, the 6PM nights for free without a contract is rightfully his.
