First of all, I would like to thank the good people here who have assisted me in retrieving my service books and browser on my beloved handheld! It is wonderful to know that additional help is only a click away, aside from having to wait several minutes on hold with Sprint's customer service.
Secondly, I am wondering if there are any BB users here who have successfully filtered their calls to allow only contacts from their address books to "ring" their devices. This means that anyone outside their address books will be immediately forwarded to their voicemail system.
I have tried several configurations posed by forum members in the blackberryforums.com message board; however, each failed, unfortunately. I have even attempted to utilize the BerryBlocker application from handango. After one month of success, though, this same software collapsed with numerous callers, whether from unknown or known numbers, complaining that either they would hear "dead air" or the device hanging up on them without my knowledge. I contacted the responsible developer, of course, but he has yet to return a viable solution to my issue.
My BB is essential to my work schedule and hectic lifestyle. I also have family members who rely on me to drive them to the hospital, if need be. Calls from telemarketers (I did place my PCS number on the Do-Not-Call list), unknown numbers, and other people not included in my address book are definitely unnecessary, especially since my 7130e is on 97% of the time.
Does anyone have an effective solution to this problem??? For those individuals who do, please type up the step-by-step instructions in doing so (I am still exploring all the wonders of BB life). And yes, I did a search, but no answers to my question.
