I just checked my bill for this cycle. I have a special PV pack that is 10 a month, u/l Picture Mail and Data Access. I have a charge for 9.68 in PCS Data. Could this be for d/l of ringers and backgrounds? I do not d/l them from sprint, but from other free sites thanks laurs.....didn't see a thread about this....sorry if there already is one

I've been charged for Data usage for the past several months, even though I had vision in the past and now Power vision. After calling in two months a row the charges were refunded. Now I'm still getting charged for data usage, but there is an automatic credit equal to the data usage every month. I don't care how they do it, just as long as I'm not charged anymore.
Bottom line, call in to CS and tell them whats going on. They should credit your account, and if your nice you might get an extra $25 credit like me.

This happened to someone else I know as well... I think their system is just going crazy from what I'm reading on the boards here. If it was a charge for downloading something, that item would be listed separately detailing what the download is.
Unless you've been tethering, maybe?

nah no tethering, they said it was from before my PV package was added (funny though, i had free PV for a month then immediately added in my new reduced priced pack, guess it was during the transition period?). in any case it ended up being only 4 bucks, so I can deal. They assured me that no more data charges would be put on...we'll see... :fingers:

Glad you at least got it down a bit! When I first added the 2nd line to my account I had about 4 months of trouble with my bills because their system kept screwing up (actually, to be fair, it was the fault of the braindead CS rep who setup my account). My lines kept getting turned off for exceeding my account limit, which is $400, because I was being charged for every bit of data I used. Finally it got setup correctly and I've not had problems since then, but most of the time when they did arise they would immediately credit me for the charges, and throw in an additional $5 credit for compensation of the time I lost on my lines.

I renewed my contract on 7/12. a share plan. one phone had vision from that date, the other did not. I called about something else, and the Sprint Rep offered PowerVision free for the first month, so I signed up for that on 7/20. now, my current invoice shows a data charge of $48. I called this morning, and after have a long diplomatic chat, SPRINT offered to credit 1/2 of the data charges. I did point out that they activated the vison on one phone, but not the other, and that was not my problem. she sent the matter to billing.
any suggestions?? I do get a 23% discount, that is the biggest reason that I am with SPRINT. I work in the construction field, and the contractors still use NEXTEL, therefore, those calls are in-network ==> free.
