View Full Version : On Demand Upgrade

I went to the On Demand directory option today and the phone said I needed an upgrade so I clicked yes.
When it was all said and done I found that it has a new look.
The format display has changed slightly, some new options were added and it looks like a new upgraded logo/display.

On Demand now has:
1. NEWS: Late Breaking News & Photos
2. SPORTS: Sports, Scores & Standings
3. WEATHER: Local & Global Forecasts
4. MONEY: Market News & Portfolio
5. MAPS: Detailed Maps & Directions
6. ANSWERS: Directory (411) & Dictionary
7. SNAP: Latest News, Weather & Stocks
8. SHOWBIZ:Hollywood News & Showtimes
9. FYI: Offers, Insights & Opinions

I upgraded and every time I would log out and go back to Demand or Power Vision it would ask again to upgrade. If this occurs shutdown your phone and restart and it stops asking (A900).

So I am not the only one with the new look? I was having problems with my phone last night and today, after talking with a rep, I was told to clear the memory on the phone by going to ##786# and it erased everything including my number and all that. When I finally got it reprogramed I checked On Demand and it asked to update, when all was done it had a new look. I thought it was something caused due to the memory clear .. actually I was hoping it was due to the memory clear because the new look is so freakin retarded :(

Here is a link to what my On Demand was pretty much looking like before all this happened ...

This is how things look now...

I got the upgrade on my MM7500. I quite like the new look. It's more modern and streamlined.

I like the fact that I can now see more news headlines on one page. Very nice.

Not askin for an upgrade here. As a matter of fact, it's doesn't even want to upgrade the data enough to get tonight's movies. Stupid app...

does anyone with a NON-EVDO phone have on demand? i wonder what the url for those phones(if any..) are.

and im sure you could just install this on any phone... so phones without on demand built in... download the jad/jar to your PC(just change jad 2 jar in the links)... open the .jad file in a text editor(notepad..wordpad..whatever mac users use..)... set the Delete-Lock setting to No... set the Content-Folder setting to Applications. Now use funformobile.com or something to send the jad/jar combo to your phone. All done... and now able to be deleted easily.

anyone figure out where it shows how long the 'trials' are now?

this is for the Fusic for those who need it.
I also found the easiest way is to text this to yourself instead of typing it all out on your fusic. use the text function of this awsome site to do it was very easy.

I go to update and it just lags and sits there. This isn't a first for Sprint. Perhaps because a lot of others are downloading it or something.

Yeah got my fusic to do the update but had to power cycle the phone since it kept wanting to update :fingers: Works fine now just looks different. It had the option to do on demand or power vision, did both just to see any changes. See graphic changes in on demand but don't see any in power vision at least not yet. :deal:

Will keep checking channels see if I find anything will post.

I like the new look as well. Quick question - is the map feature free now? When I click on it, it takes me straight to the map. I doesn't ask me if I want to start the trial anymore.

I have no idea, but I went back to the old verison manually and was able to still have my unlimited trial without it asking for an update. The new update was freezing the phone so I went back...

Got a Fusic with a PV package. Is On Demand part of the PV package or additional cost?

On Demand is part of the PV package, but not all of the On Demand channels are free. You will be able to get a free trial with any of the ones that do cost money.

well seems to work great and didn't have to agree to a monthly charge. does this mean on demand is now free? :fingers:
