if you have a plan still under contract that has standard visions-picture pack with the 100 free texts a month...

if i upgrade to a KATANA do I HAVE TO upgrade to power visions and pay $20 more per month for the same service i have now or can i keep my current standard visions.

Sprint Store people tell me I have to....several of the sprint CS people say no....which is the answer?

katana only uses vision.. does not have Power Vision. So no, you wouldnt have to upgrade.

Exactly. Katana was brought to market to be cheaper in price than the a900 so there is no PV on it. So you can't do the sprint music store and sirius and such. I have a Katana now, had an a900 for 4 months and my wife has an A900. So far, honestly, I'm a tad happier with the Katana due to it's much better battery life. I charged it up fully Friday night when I got it and haven't charged it since. It's Monday morning, 9:30am, and I'm still showing 3 bars of battery.
