When I renewed my contract through rententions one of the perks I got was the $10 regular vision picture pack with a $10 reocurring credit.

Now I have been wanting to do an ESN swap to my Sanyo 9000, a PV phone, but the rep tells me that I have to switch to a PV package.

the problem is that the PV picture pack is $20 as opposed to the $10 regular vision and if I switch, although the $10 credit would apply, i would have to pay the difference, $10.

When I have spoke to retentions about getting PV for free they tell me that no codes exist for free PV packages, which I know is bs because there are plently of people here in SU that have free PV packages.

to you reps out there, if you dont mind, could you disclose the PV codes? If you dont want to post them, then could you please PM me.

Thanks Jon.

I believe that there are no free PV codes,I get PV for $10,with a $10 credit.Maybe you need to imply that is what you want to retention.

Jon,

Here's a option that may work for you, it worked for me. Call the tech dept. to do the esn swap, they have systems that won't lock them out of switching to a phone that DOESN'T match your plan! This has been a problem for many people when going thru standard customer service.

Also I have EVDO on my plan yet I was able to easily get tech to put a vision phone on my accout WITHOUT changing anything on the plan. IMO do not change the plan or its components just to change a phone. Later even tech or whom ever may not be able to help you. :)

I'm on the phone with retentions and they do have a $10 PV package like you said but it is only the basic data package.

How did you get the PV picture pack for $10?

Because I asked the rep about the PV picture pack and he would only give it to me for $20 with the $10 monthly credit. I would end up paying $10 more if i switched to a PV plan :irked: .

They are having a BIG crackdown.

Now I dont know if it still exists, but there must be a $10 power vision code, because my sister got it last month when she renewed her plan. First she got free vision on a non-power vision phone, making it the primary line. Then the secondary line was the power vision phone, half off the price ($20) and then given the $10 off. Thus both phones have free vision, the first phone regular vision, the second PV.

The ONLY PV retention code I have seen is the one mentioned: ten bucks. I've never seen another or different one at all.

My free PV is charged at $10/month and then credited $10/month. So there are free PV codes. When I switched my wife's phone from her 8200 to a 920, they simply switched her to the free PV plan that I had. So, yes, there are codes for it.

Ok what kind of pv pack does she have?

I got the $10 EVDO pack with a $5 credit, but they added a 20% loyalty discount to my account to offset the other $5 since I had free vision with all the perks previously...you are correct that they don't have a pic pack for that EVDO code, but they can just layer on the regular vision picture pack for $0 and it works fine...it actually says that on a separate line on my plan details page...I also kept my free SMS by paying $8 for it and getting an offsetting $8 credit...in the end, I ended up lowering my bill by switching to EVDO because the 20% discount was more than the $5 I ended up paying for EVDO...I know others have been lucky enough to get a $10 credit with the full $10 discount, but I did not and it was never offered to me...if you can work something out like I have, make sure somebody competent removes the expiration dates on the codes...you need to find a smart rep to do this and then have it verified by eCare in writing...

Ok so what you are is I can get the EVDO data package for $10 and to get a picture pack for free they can add a regular vision picture pack for $0?

I'll try that, I'll let you know what happens.

Thanks, Jon.

I think that you have to go with the $15/month PV plan if you want to add pictures.

Agreed, I even had a rep access another account set up correctly, at the same time and the rep still couldn't take the dates off. :bang:

My Free pv pack included pic mail. i didn't even have to ask. i didn't have to re register my pic mail account or anything. maybe because i use to have free sprint vision plus with pic mail.

<GASP> that's right!! I'd forgotten all about the retention $10 PV. So I guess you CAN technically have free PV then after you bounce it off that $10 PV credit.

Retention only offered for free regular vision and free 7pm's for another 2-years. That's it. Then it is back to the regular $15/mo service after my contract ends. Boo hoo!
