Firstly, thanks for all the help with planning my switch to Sprint. I will be getting the SERO $29.99 plan that includes unlimited powervision. What I wanted to know is if I can use the power vision as a modem for my laptop or they are going to charge some other fee?
I recently noticed that on their regular plans they charge $39.99 extra if you want to use it as a modem.
Would you recommend me getting a different phone if my main concern is using it as a modem? I was also looking at the PPC6700.

You can bypass the need for a PAM plan dependant on your phone....NOW. Keep in mind that they are very aware of this feature and, based on my sources, that loophole will be shut down soon. The rates of the unlimited data plans for connection cards are dropping; that is the direction that they are wanting people to move.

Is is a problem using the ppc-6700 or the a900 as modems? Meaning do I need to bypass something with those phones or just the ones that they advertise as being modems?

i know how to do it on the 900 and 920, but I haven't been able to find any info on doing it on the 700. Is that a possibility yet? I really only use it here and there, but I'd like to know its available.. anybody know?

I thoght that they disable that feature on the samsung 900? Any posibilites that u can share that w/ us? I have the a900 and used to be able to use my phone as a modem, but they cut that feature off. I really didn't mind. Just curious how u are able to do it.
