View Full Version : SMS vs IM on Treo 700p

I picked up a family share plan with powervision (unlimited web/email) but no SMS plan. If install IM clients on our Treos would we be able to IM each other through Powervision and not incur charges? Or do IM clients use SMS which then we'd have to pay .10 per message? Thanks! -Dave

it really depends which one you use.. Toccer, for aim, works through data. Some of the pay ones have the option to do either

What's Toccer and where can I find it?

When you say data, you're referring to internet usage correct? Not SMS text messaging. That would be a huge plus.

you can get it from atomiccog.com its free, and, even better, it doesn't reset your phone!
