Radio Shack:Katana:Any way 4 employee to find

out if certain Radio Shacks have the white or pink Katana in stock? You know how you can go into some POS (Point of Sale not the other POS meaning hahaha) systems and see where inventory is in stock? I wanted to know if anyone could do this.

I was calling a couple of Radio Shacks in the area and a couple of guy's said they have the white and pink already but the stores are just far enough that I hesitate to go out there, I'm not sure I totally believe them, I'm not sure if they're just trying to get a customer into the door or what. But the ones all within where I would be willing to drive to see for sure whether they have it in stock or not say they don't have them.

Is it possible if there are any radio shack employees on here to see if any stores in the 22204 zip have the white or pink in?

The pink KATANA (170-2684) will begin arriving in around 400 stores this weekend and will be in the top 1,000 Sprint-selling stores by next weekend.

Expansion to all stores is scheduled for the week of August 13.
Inventory of the blue and pink KATANA will remain low until the end of August.

That just came out today so I don't know about RS stores saying they already have them in stock unless they all came in the shipment yesterday.
The white KATANA (170-2681) is expected the first week of August.
But you should call your mall store or any other high traffic RS in your area because that will be the stores that get them first. :)

I knew that guy was prolly just trying to get me in the door ... they do one of two things sometimes, and trust, I can hear it in the voice the ones that are doing this so I limit the info I give them. 1) is they tell you they have it but don't to get you in the door like they're gonna be able to talk me into something else, hahaha, fat chance buddy!; 2) they ask if you are a new user or not, when you say you are already a user they ask if you are eligible for an upgrade, if you aren't a new user and stock is limited they tell you they don't have it, but then call again and tell them nothing or that you will be a new customer and viola they somehow have it in stock! I don't know why they do that, maybe a higher commission on new cutomers? I know since i pay more for the phone you would think dif but hey I dunno. Thanks though!

I work at RS and I don't know about that. I have had it happen w/a Sprint store when I was trying to find my PPC 6700

Sorry for the bad experiences you had. RS is rated #1 in customer satisfactions for wireless sales. That is not our policy and you should just call the district manager and tell him your concern. I know my DM would find the phone for you. I live in OH though.

Work has been so hectic I haven't hardly had a chance to jump on here. The store I had trouble with saying they had it was the one in Woodbridge. I called the one in Herndon though (I called a bunch in my area and all surrounding cities lol) and this awesome girl Maria picked up and they had 6 pink ones, so I went and got the pink one, I LOVE it!!!!!!!! It's awesome!

I truly appreciate the responses and PM's so much! I love this website. When I had my ppc I had awesome ppl I dealt with in the PDA section and now in the Sanyo section it's mainly a whole new group of ppl and you guy's are equally as great.
