I apologize for opening yet another Sero Thread, however I just got off of many phone calls with Sprint & Nextel, as well as Executive Services. I've been dealing with them both for....over a month.
First things. If you have an existing Nextel account, in ANY WAY, You can not get sero That means if you have 1 line, you are approved for 2, 4 or whatever, and try to add a second line on the sero website, you will recieve the phone at what ever discount, but it will be unactivated. There is no magic department with in Nextel that can enter the code. it is SS1011 for the $30.00 sero plan. Not even Executive Services has that power. I have spoken with Business CS/Account Services, Consumer, & Employee Accounts. No one can do it to an existing account. It kicks it right out of the system and gives an error code. No Exceptions. I was told to cancel Nextel, all lines, port them to PCS to be held, then activate them online on the Sero plan. Nextel is very tight when it comes to the purse strings. When I migrated over to Nextel because of the plan Situation, I was on several conference calls with Corporate Account Services, and The Office of the President Executive Services rep. Who would explain to account services what I was promised by him, and for them to do it because he out ranks the person at Nextel, Who would bluntly say "No, Keep him on PCS, if he has that many discounts, he must be a problem customer, we don't like those" there are even notes on my nextel account because of that one rep, who said not to issue any further credits in anyway.
Also on the nextel side, there is a code for $5.00 unlimited text messaging. If you are blunt with your rep, you can ask for it and provide the code, Most reps will give you whatever you ask for if you know the code. PDS2wynww is the code.
For Sprint, it has been revealed to me by Executive Services, that now because of new controls on P2K & Premier, it will automaticlly note the account with what rep does what. Adding any existing account the option of Sero, Will be grounds for termination. So tread litely when asking for it. You may make a rep so mad they will note your account and make it difficult for you to recieve other things.
I've heard reports from people that it's easier to get the $29.99 F&F plan with 200 minutes, complain all the time about dropped calls, get bonus minutes upon bonus minutes put on your account, same goes with Vision also, Complain about the slowness, errors, etc. get it made free. A Customer who doesn't pay anything is still a customer, and at least it's not a Sero plan, reps will be more flexible.
So since they are getting tight, Watch out
