Its easier just to send the ringers to your phone via text (through an uploader). Find the ringer you want, save it to your computer. Scroll up to the top of this page and click on "Focus". Follow the steps to send it to your phone. It takes about 10 seconds.
Im using my 7500 this week. Its a nice compact durable phone with great reception. I just uploaded 12 songs to it. I still have 19MB of space left over.

that cable and "sync" feature they speak of will only allow you to send midi ringers to your phone...as red stated use an uploader like our handy focus tool!
There is a free Sprint Music Store backup utility that allows you to put mp3 files on your 7500 from your computer. Thought you might be interested in that.

thanks for the replys all. i have done the uploading thing before with this site called freeringers.net and that was a great service, but since the phone has the usb cable and pc sync, i thought i could avoid the middle man and having to receive text that will link me to the download. i'm tired of using power vision. thats why i got this phone. i thought pc sync would allow me to make the same type of ringtones and maybe with a program that sprint provide i would be able to upload it to my phone. oh well...how do i put the midi ringers on my phone then??

To get your PC to reconize your phone is connected to the PC, you not only need to download the Sprint Music Store BackUp App but also the Sprint Connection Software to use your phone as a modem. This will install the proper drivers so your computer will reconize the phone. Once you download your music, you will be able to play it through the music store application under the Player tab the All My Music.

where you get the download for the modem or is it in the download of the music store?
The sprint connection manager can be found on sprints website. I tried it but found out it won't let you connect without the $40/mo PAM plan. I was hoping it would work with my ultimate power vision plan but was told it isn't included. Interested to hear if anyone knows anything different.
