I have been playing around with my new toy (the Katana), and for the most part it is a very functional well thought out phone.

My biggest annoyances so far is:

When you reply to a text message, there is a stupid menu that pops up asking you if you want to send back "text" or "picture" mail....and there is no way to turn it off....and it does it EVERY time. Minor, but VERY, VERY ANNOYING.

POST BELOW WHAT YOUR MOST ANNOYING THING IS ABOUT THE KATANA

I couldn't just put one thing.

1. Not being able to use mp3/AAC as ringers.
2. Getting "Page to large" when using the web.
3. Connection errors.
4. When you send the phone a ringer/screensaver there is no "GO" option so you haft to close and go back into the inbox.
5. Camera quality
6. Keypad backlighting

...4. When you send the phone a ringer/screensaver there is no "GO" option so you haft to close and go back into the inbox...

I forgot about that one.....I almost feel like that is a bug. It does the same thing when you scroll down on a received text message and the "reply" soft button goes away.

Those are just simple things are bordering on bugs...they should NOT be by design!!!

It's usually the little things that gets us all the time!

It's usually the little things that gets us all the time! You got that right. ;) I didn't think the Fusic had any bugs but as time goes on I keep finding minor ones but they add up. I'm just going to wait for the 8400.

You can say that again....and what are the engineers/beta testers thinking when they are checking out the phone and "giving it a test drive?

Mine are about the same as yours mooo, but other than the simple annoyances I like this phone. Sure it could/should be better but I still kinda dig it.:)

The phone doesnt vibrate when plugged into a charger...
this kind of irritates me because i use the phone as my wake up alarm

wouldnt be so bad if the ringers were louder i just have to sleep with the phone unplugged so it will vibrate...

This is by design, for safety reasons or something. I don't know of any phones that will vibrate while plugged in. the A900 does the same thing.

I agree. I haven't seen a phone that vibrates while it's plugged in either. As far as I know none of them do.

Strange. I have had the LG 225 and now have the LX 350. They both ring when on vibrate and plugged in. All my phones have been that way.

Not my LX350. Maybe I am doing something wrong.

Two words: Modem NAI. And no way to shut it off. It cost me my prized Premium Vision plan having to switch to PAM.

Are you serious? There is NAI in 1xRTT phones now??

I think he means the inability to disable modem NAI. He had to add a PAM plan.

Yep, that's what the rep said. He also said that all phones from this point forward will have it, EVDO or 1xRTT. No more free tethering unless you have an old phone. Almost makes me regret the upgrade.

It wouldn't authenticate before I added PAM and it did immediately after. Speeds were nothing to write home about, but it did seem to have a little less latency than my old RL4920.

Personally, I probably won't keep the PAM plan. I really can't see paying $40 a month for something I very very rarely use. Or maybe I'll call/cancel/call/cancel whenever I need it. Drive them nuts until they get the hint and restructure their data plans. :hee:

the abbreviated dial doesn't automatically dial the number, it opens the contact instead and allows to send a message or dial.

Another thing.... you can't reassign the arrow keys. I hate how the up arrow goes to send a text message. I want it just to go to the text menuL :(

That has to be a bug. All other sanyo's allow you to do this.

Tell me why they decided to put an adapter for a headset, I think that's a dumb idea. They should have just stuck with the regular jack for it.

Ringtones: I use Cool edit to make my ringers louder, it doesnt sound all that great but it works.
