Sanyo MM5600 *internal memory problem*

I have a Sanyo MM5600. When I try to save a picture to the internal memory, the phone reboots. I take the picture and when it says "saving to memory" then the phone reboots. Also when I try to delete a picture from the internal memory, the phone reboots. EWverything works fine if I use the miniSD memory card. This only happens with the internal memory. Anyone else experience anything like this? Any suggestions?

Sounds like bad memory to me. I doubt it's under warranty, do you have the equipment protection with Sprint? If so, I'd call them and tell them about it and get the ball rolling on a replacement.

This is a known issue with a very few 5600s. Try to reset the phone in the security menu. This usually enough to fix the issue. If not, you need to send it in for warranty.

Tried to reset the phone via security menu... didnt work.. anyone else have any thoughts?

When mine was doin this I took it back to the store and they gave me a replacement

I think I had the same or very similar problem with my first 5600. I took it to the store and got a replacement. This was in August of last year though. :(

I say test the waters. Try a few stores and see what they are offering for replacements. You may get lucky like me and get a 9k.

Ty to get the 9000 or some of the newer multimedia phones.

They will try to offer you a 8300 or a 7500 at the store, but call lockline and ask for a phone with external memory that is compatible. From experience you can get what you want the representative cooperates and you say the right things.
