Hey there, I'm a happy sprint customer and thanks to this board got signed up to sero account and ac heap ass a900. But my father is interested in signing up after being with US Cellular for quite some time but he is really interested in getting signed up for a new contract under sero. Is there any way to start a new sero plan with a new customer AND some how get a new phone for him really cheap to? Its very well possible my other family members would wanna share lines on this plan. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

Use the SERO site to sign him up...then after you get the phone, attempt to pricematch. SERO cannot be shared. Each line must have its own SERO account to enjoy all its benefits.
Hmm. Putting them all on your account as duplicate plans as your's or having them sign up through the SERO website are the two best options I can think of because signing up then getting switched over is probably pretty difficult these days.

How would he go about getting pricematch on his phones? Couldn't he just call and say he wants like 3 lines and heard about sero, give em the email address and hope they do it?? Or also ask for a discount on his phones?

^^^ There are several threads in this section which will answer all your questions and more.
A simple tip...do everything one at a time...unless, of course, you get an amazing CSR rep who will basically do everything you ask them to do.

SERO plans cannot utilize shared minutes. Yeah, he can try to get 3 separate SERO plans for the 3 separate lines. Yeah, he can call in, give the E-mail address and hope they give it to him, but why do that when you can do it on the website and be sure you got it? If you find a good deal on a phone in a 3rd party retailer's store, call in and see what you can do about pricematching it. Usually, the Sprint stores will be able to easily pricematch any brick and mortar store.

:wavey: I say your best bet is to purchase a phone from any sprint retailer (sometimes third party retailers require you to keep a said service for thirty days, so when you call in during your thirty days make sure to tell the rep to switch the plan after your first bill). Find the best price you can, buy the phone and utilize the thirty days they give you to cancel. Any rep will bend over backwards to keep you so just ask them to switch your plan to sero or you will cancel. Make sure you have a valid e-mail ready for each phone. Reps only get five referals

How is everyone getting sero, do you all know someone who works at Sprint? Sero would be sweet, but I know no one that works at Sprint right now. Also, anywhere to see the sero plans?

See...most reps are willing to bend over backwards, but I'm afraid that getting switched over to SERO is much harder now, after Sprint started cracking down on it. I had to call in a lot before I got a rep that would give it to me. Most of them said the only way to do it was to go online. I wasn't even in the 30 days, either. If you're in the 30 days, all they have to do is tell you that they can't do that, but you can cancel and then sign up online again. You don't pay an ETF, they don't get in trouble with the supervisor, and supposedly, everybody's happy. However, they don't know that you spent big bucks at a 3rd party retailer for several phones, which you now have to return. I mean, that idea could work, but there's a chance it might not work. Sprint knows no other company offers that, so even if you do cancel, you're either going to sign up for SERO online, or you're going to pay more for a different carrier. They lose a lot of money on SERO if a lot of people have it, and since for every customer that knows about SERO, there's like 10 that don't know about it, they'd rather have the customers that don't know about it and are willing to pay the regular prices for the plans. I still think the best bet is to sign up online and go about trying to get the phones pricematched.
It is InPhonic that sells the phones for SERO, and their site, wirefly.com, claims that they have the lowest price, guaranteed, so I'm sure they'd pricematch for you if you found a better price.

How would one go about getting a phone price matched? Do you do this before you sign up or after?

at the time of sign up you try for the price match but it depends on who you are going through and who they are matching

I called Sprint today to ask some questions about my account.
The rep never said I have sero plans on both lines...and I never mentioned it. She said I qualified for a 3rd line.
She said to tell the rep I talk to,...when I decided to take advantage of the 3rd line... to mirror the plan from other lines so it will be the same.
So "technically", if you have a sero account and add another line to the account you can get it on sero without going through all the nonsense.

but i wander how long that will happen though and if it is just that easy

I think mirror an account is easier for the reps to do than setting one up from scratch... especially if it's a promotional plan or has extra features.
