the blackberry comes with Push, which is nice if you use email frequently. However there are applications you can use with the treo that makes it have push.

if you want EVDO, go with the treo 700

they do have push, i believe, but he was saying if you want, you can get the 700p that has evdo, 1.3m camera, ptunes as well as a phone. and you can download applications that will bring you real push email. but you also have sprint business connect and get good i think its called that i believe offer push

It's the Palm Treo 700p. You have one too many choices in your poll.

Ok, few questions from a newbie. What is push? and what is evdo? I thought I heard something about evdo that its internet w/ more stuff. If so what? And if they don't have evdo, that have other vision (internet) plans/options...like PV or w/e all the sprint internet stuff is called. Too confusing about the internet plans/options...."now with TV!"

Also, what are some blackberry models (for sprint) that are pretty good, and whats the good and bad about them.

The blackberry 7130e has EVDO. I will not answer this poll until my 700p gets here!

Treo 700p - uses the Palm OS
6700 - uses Windows
Blackberry - uses... Blackberry :p

Treo 700p & 6700 - touchscreen
Blackberry - no touchscreen

Treo 700p & Blackberry - always open keyboard
6700 - slide-out keyboard

This is all off the top of my head... hopefully it'll at least steer you in the right direction.

EVDO is Broadband internet over your phone, about equivilant to your basic DSL connection.

Push is a term used for Instant Email Notification. If you dont have push, you recieve your email(s) and wont know it until you Send/Recieve or Get your email. with Push, you get your emails on the fly, as if you were on your computer, lets say, yahoo... if you're signed onto yahoo messenger, and recieve an email you get an instant notification saying that you recieved a new email message. that's what Push does, with your cell phone.

I have had the PPC6700, the blackberry, the Treo 650 and the Treo 700p and I LOVE the Treo 700p the best. Besides, the blackberry, Sprint makes you pay $40 extra a month on the service ... What a RIP!!!

aBluesguy1990 - you need to be more specific, ie why do you want one of these and what are you going to use it for? If you are going to use if for mainly email then the blackberry wins - if you want instant / push email. If you want to surf etc, I would go with one of the palms - 700p for faster evdo if it's available. If you want to surf and do windows then the 6700. Each also has it's limits so it depends on what you are going to do with the device. Also the Blackberry requires the blackberry data plan which is about $40 as mentioned above. The blackberry has no camera and is not expandable for adding things like MP3s, etc.
