or does have to take place the next billing period? The reason why is because i went over my minutes this month by a lot and I want to take advantage of sprint's "right plan promise"

When I changed plans in the middle of my bill cycle everything was proated. Meaning for the first half of the month I was charged for the old plan and the other plan the second half of the month. Needless to say I went over my minutes because they were cut in half due to being proated the first half. I called CS and they credited my bill for all the overages.

You're going to have to find a very loving rep to back-date it. I would do it, but not everyone is so loveable :) LOL

Yes, I was pro-rated as well when I switched plans in the middle of a bill cycle. I made sure to check with the CSR in regards to only being charged for what I owed and not twice for the monthly bill.

yes you can change your plan but you will be pro-rated. its usually easier to just wait until the next cycle

As they said, if you get a good rep they'll make sure you aren't charged too much in overages for the first part of the cycle if you were too heavy a user. It is well within their power to do a small credit, you just have to be nice and explain your story well :)
It's almost impossible to back date plan changed anymore. Sprint has blocked the ability in both systems used by retail

Same thing happened to a friend, the rep forgave 1/2 the overage then it took another call to get the other 1/2. Heres a strange one for you a identical sero plan I had with pretty much the same overage didn't get charged at all. Strange deal, but I'm not unhappy.........
