WOO HOO! I put a a post recently about me wanting to switch over to Nextel, but I was hesitant bcuz I had just gotten a great SERO plan with Sprint. So I wanted to try and do it online and got discouraged bcuz when I got to the checkout, not only did they wanted the Sprint employee email address, but the ID number as well. Now, I had the email address, but I didn't have an ID number. Then ISTAYFRESH (again, ty, ty, ty!! :wavey: ) told me that all he did was put in a random 6 numbers and it worked. I was a bit skeptical, but I tried it anyway, what did I have to lose? And... tada!! It worked! Now I have the same SERO plan that I had with Sprint over at Nextel! :headbang2 And thank goodness for the tip, the promotion ends on the 30th. So to anyone thinking about switching, try that, and good luck!

Im in almost the same position as you were except im wanting to switch from Nextel to Sprint. I called at least 10 people total, 6 reps from the sero direct number (866-274-9478) that i got off the sero site. They kept giving me the same answer, Not allowed to port nextel to sprint. Which i think is total bs in addition to you needing to talk to your specific network about retention. They told me once i get my phone i need to call sprint to talk about getting free text, etc for loyalty program (prior to not letting me port the number over.) So i just said **** it, i went ahead and ordered online instead of talking to the reps giving me a big headache and it went through so far. I gotta recepit and everything. So im keeping my fingers crossed. All they asked for both online and on the internet at the sprint sero side was the employees email address. And i just checked my email and i have 2 order numbers. the first one when the lady i talked to placed before she canceled when she asked about the unable to port bs problem and the other one was when i placed the order online. I hope they cancel the first order and not both of them. I have a gut feeling that they will cancel both because: "We cant port nextel to sprint with sero offer." aaarrrrggghhhhh  :frustrate
Anything you guys wanna mention? just let me know.
thanks
