I recently told a co-worker with Sprint about the SERO plan that I have, he's a Sprint customer too. He's been trying to get the plan and spoke with a Sprint CSR who had been working there for more than 10 years. The CSR told him that the SERO plans were only for NEW customers. I went to the website bcuz when I got my plan, on the site, it said that it was for "New customers with a new 2 year agreement or exisitng customers renewing their contract.," and of course, all of the talk here that it's for both new and existing customers. But the site has changed and says that it is only for new customers, and the CSR said the same thing. Has Sprint wised up to everyone trying to get SERO?

Maybe...Although it seems that many continue to get it through the retention department.

I just got sero the other day. They TELL you that its for new customers most of the time. the first 6 reps i talked to said that. I finally found one that switched me over. The answer is, Yes, it is for NEW customers only. but that doesn't mean that you wont get a nice rep that will switch you anyway

Ive talked to 6 reps today and they wont let me port my nextel number over. Or am i calling the wrong person? I dialed 866-274-9478. 6 freakn times not including the other numbers i called with sprint and nextel. I have nextel phone and i want the 700p with the sero plan. Any suggestions, help guys?

P.S. i heard the SERO plans ends tomorrow and a sprint rep at the store said the 700P will price hike up and the 700W will out end of summer, early fall.

Thanks in advance

England,

I just got the 700p through retentions. I wanted the SERO plan, but I was getting the standard "it's for new customers" blah blah blah. In the end, I did not get the SERO, but I did get 1000 a/t, PV, 500 text for total of $48 (that is net after some discounts). Not the best deal on these boards, but the plan fits me well. I'll be paying less and getting more, so no complaints from me. And my 700p was only $250, which really got me. Good luck.

England Fan, if you don't mind paying normal price you should be able to port your number over through the www.sprint.com/sero website if you have an email address to use.

I then went ahead and purchased it through the site. and it went through fine even after i put my nextel number in the porting spot. Im keeping my fingers crossed.

You should be able to port from Nextel no problem. The only issues occur when people are existing Sprint (not Nextel) customers.
