Will they ever offer a plan with specific minutes and a set monthly charge? I emailed them on behalf of my parents and they offered free nights and weekends at 6pm and a 5% discount off the monthly. I want to know how many minutes they can offer my parents for a shared plan at what cost. I also need free mobile to mobile for them.
My real question to you guys is does anyone ever reply with a counter offer? Or in I reply at all do they automatically sign my parents up for a new 2 yr?

Yes, they offer specific plans and sure, people reply with a counter offer all the time - if you do it the right way you can usually get what you want. In other words, don't simply say 'I don't want the nights at 6 - instead I want you to give me Free Mobile to Mobile". - You should say something like "I appriciate your offering me the Night's and weekends at 6pm along with the 5% discount- However, I would be more interested in perhaps receiving free mobile to mobile instead."
You may be better off calling, than trying to go through the email route. Email is great for customers who want a perk (like adding a discount or a free offer) but IMHO you should call and discuss the options. It helps to be armed with information on what other carriers are offering in the way of family plans.

Does anyone know if I can make the phone call for my parents? They are not too keen on negotiating or understand how low they could go. I am on a different account now but, don't they always ask for you mobile number anyway? It would probably screw up my stuff wouldn't it.

Well, if the account is under your dad's name, simply get his mobile # (if you don't have it already) and either his account password or the social. And if the CSR asks who he/she is speaking with, just tell her your dad's name.

Yeah, as long as you have the info it should be no problem. I do it with customers all the time
