If I started a new line on my sprint account could I switch the number from my old phone to my new one

If you get a second phone that's not activated, you could do an ESN swap I believe.

if you remove the discounted handset too fast from its line, you risk having the instant rebates charged back to your account. Next bill cycle start date or 30 days from activation are 2 "rule of thumb" time frames that are used successfully. To err on the side of caution, wait the 30 days.

dial *2 and ask for an reprensentive adn when the rep. come on and ask what did you call for just say esn swap.
