Hey everyone.
A lot of people have PM'ed me asking for advice on what to say to e-care. There isn't a magic word to do this. However, I do believe there is a proper way to go about requesting special, or promotional offers.
I think it helps to say good things about Sprint.
I think it helps to say how much you like Sprint over the competitors.
I think it helps if you are willing to extend your contract. Why would they give a promotional offer to someone who can bail out at any time?
THis is a letter I sent for a friend.
Hello-
I am a long time Sprint customer (2000?) and have been very satisfied
with the service. I haven't seen a carrier that offers plans anywhere
close to the ones available through Sprint. I've upgraded my phone
probably 6 times and have converted a lot of my friends.
I have been talking with some friends who are also Sprint customers and
they have mentioned getting some free promotional offers for being long time
customers.
I am interested in the following promotional offers from my discussions with friends, and would like to take advantage of the ones that apply to me:
FIMF
6pm nights
unlimited text
Loyalty discounts
Any promotional offer on texting would be great.
I live in (city state zipcode) right near the campus. I have heard from
many of the students that there is something around the area or on the
campus itself that affect the cell phone reception for almost all
carriers. Text messaging works however and my wife is able to use that
successfully to contact me when the signal drops.
I have considered switching to a carrier that does work near the campus only because I don't like having to pay for cellular service I can't use, as well as paying additional for texting that I can.
I will extend my contract if needed.
================================================== ===========
With this letter, I was able to present all the "perks" my friend was interested in without sending out multiple emails. I also gave the ecare rep the option of giving the perks by extending the contract and not just "free."
For a 2 year extention, he recieved free 6pm nights, free unlimited texting and a 10 percent loyalty discount.....along with his 23 percent employee discount. Of course being me....I switched him to SERO afterwards :)
So here is a "template" so to speak. Use it, modify it, change it to suit your needs.
The last thing e-care needs is a bunch of the same format emails coming in.
Important tips:
Be nice
Be sincere
Don't lie
My friend does live near the campus, and does lose signal for some odd reason.
I make no guarantees, substitutions, exchanges, or refunds.
