There should be a Live Help button somewhere on the website, on the main page. You should be able to get into it from there and talk to a real person.

I tried the live help is offline :weeping:
If i just stop all the items from selling won't they still charge my account for the seller fee? This just makes me not want to use Ebay at all :indiff:

That's actuall pretty wise. I stopped using eBay over a year ago and my quality of life increased by 27%.

Dont use the link from the email because the email may be a look-a-like. The email is made to look like it is from ebay but it is actually a fake. If you log in using the link they get your info THEN they can hack. Or worse it asks for credit card or bank account info then they really got ya. Go straight to ebay.com and log in then check to see if it was hacked. I get emails all the time from "ebay" and I dont use that screenname, so I know its not legit.

I am done with ebay! I got a person on the live chat. That person sent me to a person in the fraud area. Then that person called me to verify it was me. Then we went back to the online chat. Just seems kind of dumb to me that they can call you to verify that it is realy you but they can not talk to you  So they tell my my bank and credit card information is safe. I don't believe them so I think I will still go to the bank and change all that and make the ebay account vanish. So much trouble for this .... I can shop plenty of other places :)

I have not opened any emails from ebay. I just noticed that i had 72 emails saying my item to sell had been accepted. So they got into my account? All I know is I am done with ebay.

When you went into your ebay account, did you actually show sales activities for those items? I've seen similar messages in my e-mail about items that I was supposedly selling on eBay, when I very much knew that I wasn't selling anything, with no transactions turning up on my account. I changed my password, regardless. Not to belittle your case in any way, I'm just trying to sort out things.

You know, the same thing happened to me, but not because of eBay. I never, ever pay with a credit card or bank card anymore, especially at places like restaurants where they walk away with your card. It takes about 30 seconds for someone to swipe your card in one of their special little readers and get all the information they need off of it. As a result, some <WORDS I CAN'T SAY HERE> in Hialeah, FL emptied $2,000 from my bank account FROM AN ATM. Now, you tell me how that's possible when there's a $500 a day limit.

To make matters worse, after 2 years of fighting with my bank, they still haven't given me that money back. Credit Unions are ass.

geez u guys whining about ebay being a scam are clueless. if you let someone get ahold of your bank account password its no different. ebay is no less secure than any other secure site. they use HTTPS SSL encryption for their logins, so the only way your account can get "hacked" is if you do not protect your password, simple as that.

get a clue.

If They Get You The Way We Were Got.you Will Know How We Feel.so Stfu

that never has and never will happen as i follow the basic guidelines for protecting my logins. here are some tips because i'm a compassionate person:

1) don't give your password to ANYONE
2) dont pick short or easy passwords, use both numbers and letters
3) change passwords often
4) dont use the same password for every account

follow these steps and you should never have a problem. if you use a lame password like "ebayaccount" then that is just asking to get "hacked".

also note that most people that have their accounts broken into actually GIVE their logins away when they respond to emails like "your account needs verification" and all that junk. those are all scams and you should never respond to those.

if you need to do something with your account, never follow a link from an email, type in the site directly into your browser and then log in from there.

eBay claims to be secure dear. I was working for a goverment agency hacking into ebay accounts... From the backend on ebay.com

From personal experience, Let me just say the two single most unsecured servers out there in the world, are paypal, and eBay. and when those accounts are "linked" like eBay would like you to do...You're just asking to end up in jail with your new "pal"

It is always a good idea to change your passwords on every online account you have at least every 2 weeks... ;)

uGH. OK, that IS rather scary. Don't blame you for being so drastic with your actions, in that case! I'd keep an eye out for your bank account, if you haven't swapped things around by now....
