Hi, I recently got a Treo 650 and want to use Versamail for my Yahoo acount, but everytime I try retrieving my inbox i get and error message saying
-ERR Error logging in

I got my aol account working fine, it's just that i use Yahoo way more, does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks in advance!

Well, I just went through this same scenario about 1 hour ago. Clicked the link, which went all the way through a purchase screen to get the Yahoo mail application - for $2.99/month. I politely declined that offer.
I suggest just going through the PalmOne mobile portal website on your Treo and then clicking the Yahoo mail from there. At least you won't have to pay. Unless you want the "pretty" mail that the application appears to provide.

I've been told on a Treo messageboard that regular Yahoo mail won't work. In order to access Yahoo through POP and VersaMail (and I assume other Treo e-mail apps), you'll need a paid Yahoo Mail account, or already have an account with Yahoo/SBC DSL.

Well I do have a sbcglobal account, and i was able to access it through versamail, does that mean i can also access the unpaid yahoo one too or just the sbc one?

You can't pop a Yahoo standard account. You need to upgrade for the paid version.

you guys can try downloading, opera mini and using it, its a http browser for cell phones, that way you could just go to www.yahoo.com and check it like you would on a computer

Can't you forward all messages to your SBC account and use its POP ability to recieve both in one account? I don't know if you can make a filter/rule in your free account, but if you can, use a keyword or phrase so that you can filter it in your SCB account of Versamail.
