I believe we are going to have the same back and forth on this as we did with Grandfathered Vision. I do not have a blackberry plan and do have blackberry email, browser and free downloads from the backberry home page on the browser. I have a powervision plan with my phone plan and it works just fine. I am on it now posting from burger king.

I can tell you that I did not get my phone from the sprint store I got it on ebay free. It was already activated when it arrived but I did not have a data connection yet. I entered all my numbers sync'ed it with my pc and by that time it was bedtime. I was going to call sprint that morning to add a blackberry plan if I had to and that Morning I turn the phone on and data was working. All the service books and emails I sent myself the night before came through soon as I turned it on. All 21 of them!

I set up my blackberry email and push accounts before I had my data even working through the sprint website.

I guess I have been lucky the only problems I have had were rebooted 3 times while on vacation. (that has not happened to me at all while I am at home)
And Yahoo messenger being funny from time to time. When that happens I either take the battery out for a little bit or I delete the application and download it again.

I had planned to get the blackberry for data use only. I will come out cheaper with the phone / vision plan so I will stick with what I got.

I was going to try to send you something would you like me to pm you my pin? In the blackberry forum most people have them in their signature line. So I figure I am not worried about giving it out.

You can send messages from blackberry to blackberry via pin.

That's one of the first things I did to test my phone out. I sent a message to myself. Can you even send a pin message? My pin is 3012F067

I see well wish I could have helped more...

Maybe a blackberry from the Sprint store is a factor?
