I know Voice Command (if that's what it's called?) isn't listed as one of the services in this forum...but to me, i think it qualifies.
The thing I'm confused about is, On the Sprint website, it says Voice Command is an additional $5 to use. However, on my sprint phone, I’ve been using Voice Command a lot but haven’t seen the charge on my account.
I want to know if, when you use voice command, does Sprint know when you’re using it? And will they bill you for using it occasionally, or even accidently pressing the “voice command” button?
Thanks!

You are talking about 2 different things, If you have a Sanyo phone there is voice recognition built in the service Sprint offers is something different.

I’m still confused. I actually have a samsung. But you are saying, the Voice Recognition thing on my phone is separate from Sprint’s Voice Command service?
That means, I can continue to use the Voice command on my phone w/out worrying about paying right?

Right. There's Voice Dialing which is what your phone hands (even though your phone might call it Voice Command) and there's Sprints Voice Command, which is where you actually dial * from your phone and can use voice prompts with their system.
There is no charge for using features built into your phone line Voice Dialing.

I currently have voice command and I have to say that its a really good featue. It allows me to say: "Call John At Home, Call John on his mobile phone". Or I can say weather and it will let me know the weather in my area. I can also say: "Call the web". OR "Email". When I say email it directly reads my email that I already has configured in my account ether v.i.a pop3 or IMAP.

How did you get Voice Command to read your email? I have tried the link on the website to configure this and it hasn't worked since I added this feature.

I tried voice command (twice) and it doesn't recognize anything I say. If I say 'Jenn', it repeats 'travel'. I had voice recognition on my last Sanyo and loved it. Is there a program for Treo that lets you voice dial (don't care if I have to pay for it)? When voice command didn't work and I called tech services, they took it off and put it back on again to see if that would help and it didn't. So I got a $5 credit. Don't want the credit, want the app!

What you should of done is log online from your home or work computer and manually put the numbers into the voice command system. Then once it is completed you can press (*) from your handset and say stuff like (Call Jenn at home, or Call Jenn on her mobile phone). But you must speak clearly and not slow and the system will understand you.
Ps: You must enter information into the virtual voice command system for it to work, If their is no information in their the system will not co-operate.

It would have been nice if tech support had told me that. I'll try again. Thanks.
