PictureMail questions

This is something I posted over at HoFo, but I figure I might get a more "expert" answer here...maybe?

I've been reading up, and I'm not sure I get this whole PictureMail thing. Is it the same as MMS? Or is it some sort of custom MMS for Sprint only? It's also not included in the PowerVision Access Pack, so will I just not have access to it or will there be a data charge? I mostly offload my photos using a memory card, if that helps (Planning on buying an LG Fusic). I was planning on getting the $15 PowerVision pack, since apparently there's EV-DO here...if it wasn't, according to Sprint's literature, I could get the PCS Vision Pack for the same price and get unlimited PictureMail (At 1xRTT speed of course).

It would be nice, BTW, if Sprint and the Fusic supported normal MMS. Not critical, since with an unlimited data pack I could just e-mail them (I assume?) but nice.
