I see thse sites like dadamobile, flycell, etc offering "free" ringtones. The disclaimer has some fees associated with it...so what's the catch on these things? Can you really get free ringtones or are you automatically signed up to their service when you enter in your phone number?

Some members of my family got caught up in this also. Generally, if you scroll down to the bottom of the website you see the "subscription" fees. Flycell is particularly nasty in that the only way to unsubscribe is with your cellphone. :irked: I was able to cancel online with some of the others. :)

The "catch" is always written SOMEWHERE in small print. Legally it has to be. Just read and you'll find out what the catch is.

Best alternative is to make them yourself, for free. We have all sorts of helpful threads and FAQ's on that.

SprintUsers.com was created in January 2002 as a resource for users of Sprint PCS products and services to learn about and share information. We have cll phone reviews, Cellular Accessories, Downloads, PDA reviews, Ringtones, all of the latest Sprint PCS news and information, an area where you can find help in creating a ring tone or custom image for you phone, and so much more. The most popular section is the message board where visitors can read and write messages, ask questions, and get advice about their cellular phone from other users.
