I have been using wave pad in which i like but it seems it is a trial version of the software. Does anyone know of reliable software in which u can edit a mp3 song or AAC and cut out like a 30 second part of it and save as a wav or AAC file that is compatible to play on treo as a ringer?

Use Audacity for your mp3 files. It's free. No unlock code needed.

Yeah, Audacity is good. It has the option to export as a wave file, too.

To play it? You sure you made it right? It shouldn't need a handler to play it, since it's on your phone. What uploader did you use? I've never had any problems with Rumkin.

I don't think the 225 supports M4A. I think it only supports MIDI files and QCP files.

Freak4Dell is right. AAC ringtones only work on MM phones. 225 is not an MM phone. You will have to use QCP for that.
