Hey all,
First off, let me say that I love Sprint, and have always had pretty good luck when dealing with CS. But lately, that's changed.
A few months ago, I convinced my fiancee and her son to switch their phones over from Verizon and go with a shared plan on Sprint. Their new phones came with the typical "free" month of Power Vision. My fiancee told me she didn't want PV on her phone, or her son's. So after the first month, I called in to CS and explained that I didn't want PV on their lines and only wanted to keep it on my line. I also explained that my fiancee's son is away at college, and out of our "control", so I didn't want him to be able to access the internet through his phone at all. The CS guy said OK, he'd block the line from PV access. I also confirmed with him at the time that it wouldn't affect the text messaging, and he said it was fine. All was well, or so I thought.
This month, I get my bill, and find over $100 in PV charges. So, back on the phone with CS. I got a real winner this time. The young lady was all sighs, and "I really can't help you". She was very rude to me from the start. I asked if a supervisor was available, and she said "I don't know what you mean." Duh. Then she flat out refused to transfer me to a supervisor. Eventually, I got her to submit a "request" for a credit for the charges. She said someone would call in 3 to 5 days.
10 days later, I call back to CS and ask what the status of the credit is. CS says they can see the request, but can't tell what the status is. She said the supervisor's have to approve the requests. I asked her if she could check with her supervisor to get the status. She then said supervisors couldn't see the status of the request. WHAT???
Eventually, she transferred me to a "supervisor" who told me that there was no record of my requesting PV access being blocked. He sounded like I was wasting his time and again was somewhat rude. After refusing multiple times to issue a credit, he eventually credited me $50 but refused to do the whole amount. He then told me that because I have unlimited text on that line, I have to have "IP Basic". Then he proceeded to tell me that "I've been warned that IP Basic can incur $0.02/Kb and he's noting in my account not to issue any further credits for IP usage." :irked:
So, after that long novella..... Does anyone know if I have to have IP Basic to have text messaging???
And how I should go about getting my account un-mucked? I'd like to be able to protect myself from Vision charges, but still keep the text msg on the line.
