I'm paying $15/month for unlimited text messaging. I send over 1k texts a month. I have heard that some or all vision plans include text messaging. Is this true? If so, what the hell am I doing not getting picture mail, web browsing etc with my money?!??! :irked:

No this is not true only messaging Vision plans cover or Instant messages.

When Sprint (finally) implemented MO-SMS, Vision plans that previously included unlimited Shortmail text messaging changed to include 100 SMS. Then that went by the wayside and Sprint figured out it could make more $$ by splitting out Vision from SMS. I seem to remember that at one time, unlimited SMS was $7/mo, so, yeah, now a $15/mo the prices just keep climbing... but the fact is that what you are now paying *is* the going rate for unlimited textmsging alone, with Vision being another $10-15/mo. Sprint still *is* cheaper in general, than the other "big" guys (Cingular and VZW), particularly with its data options, but as the field narrows, the prices have gone up, as predicted at the time of all these mergers were happening.
