What happens when you send an SMS when roaming? Are you charged extra or is that covered under the "free roaming" of the America plans?

I believe it depends on who you are roaming with. With most you cannot send texts while roaming, with some you can, no extra charges if you have a roaming plan.

seem to send/rcv ok w/ VZ in roaming. at least here in SF Bay Area w/ my PPC
