Hi

My Fiance and I have seperate sprint accounts, but her contract is up at the end of July, mine isn't until 2007. We want to combine our accounts into one, but since her account is up she gets the $150 new for you phone upgrade, and she needs it her phone hinge is cracked and shes been holding out for a new phone. Is there anyway to add her to my account and still get the $150 upgrade for her to get a new phone with?
Thanks

Kevin

If you can't combine, can't you port the number to the new service, you'll still get the $150 off on a new phone upon signing a 2 year contract... If i'm wrong, someone will correct me :x

Here's another option. At the end of her contract, have her cancel her service. Convert your account into a family share plan and add a line for her phone. You will still get a $150 credit towards a new phone because you are adding a line. Who knows, if you talk to the right person at Sprint and explain the situation, you may even get more.

Sprint numbers can not be "ported" to another Sprint account(of course it is nextel to sprint or sprint to nextel). Take your girlfriends line and do a transfer of liablity to your account and start the plan from there. She would still be elgible for the rebate too. Hope this helps

Upgrade the phone first...Then transfer liability. That way you make sure you get the rebate first before the system can mess it up because of the transfer.

Why transfer liability? Convert to a family share plan and add a line for her. You still get $150 off a new phone for activating another line.

But then she looses her phone number she has had for 3 years(or however long) ....either way she will get 150$, so why not have her keep the phone number she has had...unless she really does not want it.

As long as she does not change the phone number and she keeps the same phone on there, it will not affect anything if she does a TOL.

Exactly that's why you transfer liability. The OP could still convert to a family share plan, but the other person keeps her #.

It's not SUPPOSED to, but I have seen it get messed up before...better safe than sorry IMO.

Ahh. Thanks for setting me straight. Good point.

Just go to a Sprint store, get her the new phone she wants, get the rebate, do the transfer of liability and move her on to your account, change your plan to a family shared plan with both of your phones sharing the minutes, and you'll be done, one visit, both of you, and its finished.
